LAUSANNE – OLYMPIC CAPITAL AND FINA HEADQUARTERS

In 1915, the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) moved to Lausanne and gave the capital of the Canton of Vaud the status of being a city that supports sport in life.

Lausanne is well known across various international sports with events such as Athletissima, the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games, and the 2020 World Hockey Championships.

Lausanne is also home to many international sports federations such as FIBA, FIVB and FINA, the International Swimming Federation. The LAUSANNE SWIM CUP is an event that combines sport and culture offering athletes the opportunity to visit their international federations and the Olympic Museum as well as the opportunity to swim in a spectacular event!
